Packed full of vitamins, antioxidants, and fibre, sweetcorn can be enjoyed in so many ways, whether eaten fresh, cooked, popped into popcorn, preserved, or even ground into flour. For many, smothered in butter or within a clam chowder soup is a must. In the world of artistry, the plant offers a sumptuous unravelling of colour and form as husks are pulled away to reveal buttery-yellow ears of corn in neat rows of kernels. Whilst it has proved challenging to outline each kernel with liquid clay slip, the result was worth the effort. KerryÕs soft green leaves curl under the rim of the vase like musical notes against a crisp wash of blue and green, as keyboards of colour drip down from one kernel to another.
