Bempton Cliffs, situated along the stunning Yorkshire coastline, is home to the largest mainland seabird colony in the UK. From March to August, approximately 500,000 seabirds flock to these breathtaking chalk cliffs to nest, creating one of Britain's most remarkable wildlife spectacles.
The King Charles III England Coast Path is a 2,700-mile National Trail tracing the entire English coastline. Opened in March 2026, it passes through beaches, cliffs, coastal towns and ever-changing landscapes, offering greater access for walkers to experience the shoreline and its surrounding margins.
Inspired by the natural world and that sense of ‘fresh air therapy’, Emma has interpreted the eight sections of the path across eight individual pieces. From views directly along the trail to nearby coastal scenes, the varied beauty of England’s coastline is captured in ceramic form.
