Roses are historically linked to motherhood and were thought to be sacred to the Greek goddess Iris, the ideal mother, and Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.  Pink carnations in a bouquet symbolise both gratitude and never forgetting someone – two things we celebrate on Mother’s Day.  The flowers were carefully chosen by Nicola when she created this celebratory vase blooming with hidden meaning.  Nicola’s roses are white and as soft as snow, while her carnations have myriad shades of pink within them.
