Small white herons with attractive white plumes on their crest, back and chest, jet-black legs and bill and remarkable, bright-yellow feet, bathe in the last rays of the sun of the Conwy lagoons. Fortuitously, the Conwy Estuary attracts flocks of Little Egrets each year, each one the epitome of grace and poise with their slander body and long necks. Captured by Kerry, among the reserve’s reedbeds, with their large, striking orange eyes, resembling a prehistoric creature, and gliding on rounded wings, head and long neck retracted, with feet extending clumsily beyond the tail.
