Kerry’s badgers are hidden in a bower of spring bluebells, mysteriously suggesting night-time, though the golden glow behind them may herald the early sunrise on a clear May day. Kerry’s image offers a soft and almost motionless entry into a new world of silence and peace and that is good for the soul.  The badgers make no sounds but share a look with each other to signal that it is time to return to their hidden sett and slumber the dawning day away until the cool breezes of the evening stir them to come and frolic beneath the bower of bluebells again.
