During the 16th Century several Flemish potters settled in England. From this beginning, a delftware industry was born which was to survive some two hundred years. Blue Tulips harks back to the blue and white delft tulip designs, predominantly found on tiles. With an organic central design, Nicola recreates the Delft hearth complete with blue banding around the foot and ridge of the vase containing heraldic-style tulips.
