Irish Dresden Dorothea

Dorothea was designed by artist Hans Schubert in the late 1950s. She picks the roses in her mother’s garden and looks forward to visiting her grandparents. Cotton net lace dipped in porcelain clay is used to dress her. The cotton net burns away during the porcelain firing and a delicate pattern is left in the porcelain. 8 carat gold is used to decorate her base. Artist: Hans Schubert
