Irish Dresden Cornelia Pink

Cornelia was designed by our artist Hans Schubert in the late 1950s. She is reciting out of her book of poems during a visit to her grandparents. Her mother made sure Cornelia will wear one of her nicest dresses. This very beautiful dress is made of cotton net lace, dipped in porcelain clay. The cotton burns away in one of our fires at 1,290C leaving its pattern in the porcelain. The roses decorating her dress are handmade out of very fine porcelain clay. Each rose petal is hand-rolled and then joined together to form a beautiful rose. Our highly skilled artists paint her face, hair, hairbow and write in the book, hand-drawn flowers decorate the back of the book.Very fine gold lines decorate the base. The gold Irish Dresden uses is 8ct gold and it takes over 3 months before Cornelia is ready to go on her journey. Before the last fire our trademark MV Irish Dresden is applied underneath the base and her name Cornelia is handwritten under the trademark.
