Commemorating 150 Years since the birth of Sir Winston Churchill. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few. Around the rim of the plate underneath patriotic bunting, Caroline has drawn a trio of a land girl, royal marine and home guard alongside spitfires, and poignant images of the land, sea and air invasion. His white bulldog nicknamed the 'British Bulldog', sits proudly framed by his favoutite butterflies and the shrub rose named after him. At the top of the plate border, a V for Victory is enrobed in poppies with two doves of peace.
Central on the plate, six spitfires frame an iconic drawing of Sir Winston Churchill wearing his famous spotty bow tie, designed within elements of The Churchill Crest.
