In trying to be kind to Blackbirds people will place suet and seeds on branches for them to peck. In truth, these soft-billed birds like nothing better than to thrive by eating fruit so as not to damage their beaks eating hard seeds or tough husks. In only a way that a designer can conjure, Kerry’s Blackbird pecks among plump red grapes, burgundy-coloured plums, and curvaceous pears and apples, seemingly hanging together as if it were possible to graft such different fruit into one sprouting fountain.
