Moorcroft Sand Dune Dance July Miniature

On warm, sunny days you may be lucky enough to see grayling butterflies dancing across sand dunes. They feed off sea holly plants once they emerge in July and are the UK’s largest brown butterfly and a master of disguise. They can mysteriously disappear as soon as they land, perfectly camouflaged against a background sand as they rest with their wings closed.
