Moorcroft Plow Light Plaque

Plough Sunday is an old English celebration of a new agricultural year, where the plough is blessed and villagers collect money for the "Plow Light" to keep burning in the church all year. In Nicola's design, the sloping, verdant fields are framed by the yellow ploughman's spikenard flowers. A small dry-stone wall, with a wooden stile, leads your eye to a well-worn path through fields up to a distant hill where stands a small flickering church with a plough light still flickereing.
